Dr. Tyler V. Hardeman, Sr., Pastor

Dr. Tyler V. Hardeman, Sr., a native of Pensacola, Florida was born on December 25th to Mr. Clarence Hale and Mrs. Elsie Hardeman Moody. Pastor Hardeman was licensed and ordained to the ministry by the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Reverend Dr. Nathaniel Smith.

Hardeman received his theological training at the American Baptist College in Nashville, Tennessee where he received a diploma in Theology, Selma University in Selma, Alabama where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Bible Theology, Master of Arts degree in Bible and Pastoral Ministry, Master of Arts in Christian Education, and a Doctorate of Ministry degree in Biblical Exposition Preaching at Anderson University Clamp School of Divinity in Anderson, South Carolina. Pastor Hardeman was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters from Virginia University of Lynchburg and a Doctor of Divinity from Oakdale Bible College in Mobile, Alabama.

Pastor Hardeman is the past President of the First West Florida Congress of Christian Education, Past President of the Baptist Ministers Union of Pensacola and vicinity, Past Bible Expositor of the First West Florida District Association. Dr. Hardeman retired from AMI Kids Pensacola in 2014 as Director of Case Management after 22 years in the field of Alternative Education and Juvenile Justice.

Dr. Hardeman currently serves on the Board of Trustees at Selma University, Executive Board of First West Florida District Association, Assistant Dean of First West Florida Congress of Christian Education, Associate Professor of Theology Dallas Bible Theological Institute.

Pastor Hardeman was elected on September 16, 2001, as the sixth Pastor of Lily Baptist Church of Mobile, Alabama, and served faithfully for nine years prior to returning back as Co-Pastor of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church July 12, 2009. On September 16, 2012, Pastor Hardeman was elected Pastor of Antioch Baptist Church. Pastor Hardeman is a member of Saint John #189 PHA Masonic Lodge and Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., Beta Omicron #594.

Dr. Hardeman is married to the former Miss Natalie Smith. They are the proud parents of three beautiful children and one granddaughter. Sister Hardeman is a Gospel recording artist, musician, and employed with the Escambia County School District as an Instructional Specialist in Math and Science.
